World Password Day – Time to Level Up Your Security

Passwords are your first line of defense online — but most people are still using weak or reused ones. Today is World Password Day, the perfect time to check your habits and boost your security.

Here’s how to level up:

1. Use Long, Strong, and Unique Passwords

Short passwords are easy to crack. Use at least 12 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. And never reuse the same password on different sites.

2. Try a Passphrase

Instead of random characters, use a sentence that’s easy to remember but hard to guess. Example: TacosForDinner@MyPlace2025

3. Turn On Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA adds a second step — like a text message or app code — after your password. It’s one of the best ways to block hackers.

4. Use a Password Manager

Stop trying to remember every password. Use a password manager to generate and store them securely.

How to ensure you don't miss important emails Are important emails going to your spam folder? You’re not alone. Email providers like Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo try to filter out junk — but sometimes, they block messages you actually want, like appointment reminders, invoices, or service updates. To make sure you never miss a message, just add the company domain(s) to your safe sender list (also called a whitelist). For example, our domains are topcity.tech and topcity.online .
