Front Desk

Position Overview:

You are the first point of contact and a hands-on junior technician. You will greet customers, run the front desk, and handle light technical work and logistics.

Responsibilities:

• Answer phones, greet customers, and deliver clear updates
• Create tickets, check in and check out devices, collect payments and issue receipts
• Carry out pickups and drop-offs of customer equipment, valid driver’s license required
• Lift, carry, and move equipment repeatedly that weighs 50 lbs or more
• Basic triage on PCs and Macs: boot issues, slow performance, simple malware checks, user profile issues
• Hardware handling: RAM and SSD swaps, drive cloning or imaging, simple diagnostics, ESD-safe work
• Peripheral and printer setups, basic network checks on-site or in-shop
• Keep the front area organized, clean, and customer-ready
• Assist with inventory, parts intake, and shipping

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs or more
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 or 11 basics and common utilities
• Comfort with Macs at a basic user level
• Able to follow checklists and document work in a ticketing system
• Reliable, punctual, detail-focused

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PC hardware diagnostics and replacements
• Basic networking: IP settings, Wi Fi troubleshooting, simple router resets, SMB share basics
• Familiarity with antivirus and EDR concepts
• Comfort using imaging tools and backup utilities
• Point of sale experience

Schedule & Pay:

• Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Open to part-time or full-time availability
• Pay: $12 – $15 per hour depending on experience
